Denise Watson has worked as a Sports Journalist in NI for almost 20 years. She currently works for UTV Sport as a reporter and U105 radio. Denise also writes a weekly column on Females in Sport for the News Letter.

The Lisburn woman spent 17 years at BBC Sport NI where she worked on Radio Ulster’s current affairs shows and presented Irish League show “Final Score” as well as reporting for “BBC Newsline.” She was awarded CIPR Sports Journalist of the year in 2007 for breaking the story on Oisin McConville’s gambling addiction. Denise also trained as a video journalist 12 years ago.

Mum of two Denise regularly hosts Council Sport Awards and corporate events and loves meeting people when she’s out and about at functions.

Her daughters Sam (9) and Beth (5) are already involved in Sport and Denise is keen to get kids active and playing Sport. She is an IFA ambassador for Women’s Football and hosts seminars for Sport NI too. Call us to book Denise for your event.”
