Pamela Ballantine

Pamela Ballantine has worked in the media for over 45 years, having started her career as a secretary in Downtown Radio before becoming a news reader and programme presenter for the station.

After a short spell as a presenter on BBC Radio Ulster, Pamela moved to UTV where she has spent the majority of her working life as a presenter, newsreader and reporter, working on programmes as diverse as Hot Pursuits and Farming Ulster, RPM Motorsport and the Ulster Schools Quiz.

Pamela is now a freelance presenter for UTV and hosts the entertainment and chat show UTV life on Friday evenings.

As well as being able to mix business with pleasure while working at Northern Ireland's two racecourses. Pamela is also very much in demand as host of many awards ceremonies and events.

Pamela was awarded the MBE in the King's New Year's Honours List for her services to charity as she is Regional Chair of Action Medical Research, she is Vice-Chair of ArtsEkta and is also a board member of local charities Youth Action and Belfast Activity Centre. She is also Patron of Bowel Cancer UK in Northern Ireland.
