Pamela is a freelance TV and Radio presenter. She is currently hosting UTVLife, the weekly chat and entertainment show on UTV on Friday evenings.
Pamela has worked in the media for over 40 years having started her career as a secretary in Downtown Radio before becoming a news reader and programme presenter for the station. She has presented a morning show for BBC Radio Ulster before moving to UTV where she has spent the majority of her working life as a continuity announcer, reporter, newsreader and programme presenter working on shows as diverse as Farming Ulster to RPM, Telethon to Hot Pursuits. For over 10 years Pamela presented the magazine show UTV Live every weekday evening at 5:30.
As well as being able to mix business with pleasure while working for our two racecourses at Down Royal and Downpatrick, Pamela also hosts many awards ceremonies and events.
Pamela's theatrical appearances have included appearing on the stage of the Grand Opera House in Belfast as the Fairy Godmother in the pantomime Cinderella and a touring production of the Vagina Monologues. She has also appeared alongside Peter Corry in the Festive show The Music Box and has had cameo roles on a number of locally produced films.
Pamela is involved with numerous charities as she is Regional Chair of the charity Action Medical Research, she is Chair of the Down Royal Corporation of Horsebreeders and is Vice-Chair of Multi-Cultural charity ArtsEkta. She is also a board member of local charities Youth Action and Belfast Activity Centre and is Patron of Bowel Cancer UK in Northern Ireland.
