Donna Traynor

Donna Traynor is one of the most recognised broadcasters among audiences across the island of Ireland. She is an accomplished and respected performer with more than thirty years' experience as a presenter of live television and host of corporate events. Recently Donna reached a global audience with her cameo roles in the highly successful Channel 4 series Derry Girls.

Donna is the former presenter of the award-winning BBC Newsline programme. She also fronted the innovative Wild Week Live series, the rural affairs programme Country Times and coverage of the annual Balmoral Show. For many years Donna compered Children In Need which revealed her singing talent and sense of fun. She has also appeared in several episodes of BBC Northern Ireland's comedy series Give My Head Peace.

With her approachable style and versatility, Donna is a popular choice to host various public events such as conferences and award ceremonies. Her clients have included InterTrade Ireland, Institute of Directors, Northern Ireland Policing Board, Royal College of Nursing and Ulster University.

Alongside her husband and fellow broadcaster Ronan Kelly, Donna provides media coaching and training in public speaking for corporate, voluntary and public sector clients.

After her studies, Donna began her career as a journalist in RTÉ in Dublin before she moved to the BBC in Belfast.
